[Sims2] Help!

 Whenever I go to save as, in Simpe, it appears to save normally but if you look at the file in the directory it has a gold lock on it. This is making the game not read the files and I don't know why it's doing it or how to stop it. It's happening every time I save something now. If I modify an existing file or if I just regularly save an already existing file it saves both with the lock and makes them unreadable by the game.

I have cleared all cashes and history in Simpe, reset Simpe to the original format for everything. I have uninstalled and deleted all associated folders and files and re-installed. It however is still happening to everything I save.

I am screeeewed for Secret Santa if it's going to be like this O.o

Since you've tried completely removing SimPE with caches and all I think it's a setting with your computer system, and not with SimPE as such. Hopefully the links can help you out!
